Description

HistoBond®+ microscope slides white with 1 ring are glass slides with adhesive surfaces for reliable attachment of tissue sections. Each slide measures approximately 76 × 26 × 1 mm, features 90° ground edges, a white marking field at one end and a single ring of about 13 mm inner diameter. The adhesive coating supports secure retention of histological sections during staining and processing. These slides are intended for applications in accordance with EU Regulation 2017/746 for in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), carry the CE mark and provide a recommended use-by date together with a batch number for comprehensive information and traceability. Packed 100 pieces in plastic boxes and 2,000 pieces per outer carton, the slides from manufacturer Marienfeld suit routine and specialised pathology workflows where consistent specimen adhesion is required. Their defined geometry and marked writing area facilitate labelling and handling in diagnostic and research microscopy laboratories.

This article is part of Microscope slides & cover glasses, in Microscopy & histology.

Questions about Microscope slides HistoBond®+ white with 1 circle

What is this article?

Microscope slides HistoBond®+ white with 1 circle is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
