Description

HistoBond®+M white microscope slides are glass slides with adhesive surfaces engineered for covalent attachment of tissue sections. Measuring approximately 76 × 26 × 1 mm, they combine 90° ground edges with ground corners bevelled at 45° and a white writing field at one end. The slides are suitable for applications according to EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostics (IVDR) and carry CE marking, recommended expiry date and batch number for comprehensive information and traceability. Available from manufacturer Marienfeld, HistoBond®+M slides share all properties of the HistoBond®+ series and chemically secure even less polar, for example very fatty, tissue to the glass. Packed 100 pieces in plastic boxes and 2000 pieces in the outer carton, they support efficient histology and pathology work where reliable section adhesion, corner safety and clear specimen identification are essential throughout processing and microscopic evaluation.

This article is part of Microscope slides & cover glasses, in Microscopy & histology.

Questions about Microscope slides HistoBond®+M white, 100/box

What is this article?

Microscope slides HistoBond®+M white, 100/box is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
