Description
UniMark® microscope slides with a pink writing field are precision glass slides measuring approximately 76 × 26 × 1 mm. Each slide is finished with 90° ground edges, ground corners and a 45° bevel, combining mechanical stability with safer handling during preparation and examination. The coloured marking area accepts pencil or permanent marker notations, supporting clear specimen identification throughout the laboratory workflow. These slides are intended for applications according to EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR) and carry the CE mark. A recommended expiry date and batch number are provided on the packaging to enable comprehensive information and full batch traceability. Produced by Marienfeld, they are packed in boxes of 50 pieces, with 2,500 pieces per outer carton, and offered as a 10.000-piece unit. Suitable for histology, cytology, pathology and general brightfield microscopy, the UniMark® format helps laboratories maintain organised sample tracking while benefiting from consistent slide geometry. The ground and bevelled edge profile reduces chipping risk and improves comfort during repeated handling, staining and coverslipping steps.

Questions about Microscope slides UniMark® pink, ground edges
What is this article?
Microscope slides UniMark® pink, ground edges is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.
A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
