Description
Mineral-insulated heating cable MIL-HC-INC is a high-performance heating element engineered for laboratory and industrial temperature-control tasks. This 12,7 m cable delivers a nominal power of 2540 W at 230 V AC and features a robust Inconel outer sheath (material 2.4816). Waterproof construction together with protective earthing supports safe continuous use. Outer diameter ranges from 3,2 mm to 6,5 mm, while the minimum bending radius exceeds 5 × Ø, enabling flexible routing around vessels or apparatus. Maximum heating-conductor temperature reaches 1000 °C. A laser-welded transition joins the active section to two 0,5 m cold leads, finished with 150 mm flexible connection strand and an M20 × 1,5 gland. Available as a single piece from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, the cable is well suited to heating tapes, bandages and container-heating applications that demand mineral insulation and long-term thermal stability. Other lengths and power ratings can be requested to match specific process requirements.

What is this article?
Mineral insulated heating cable MIL-HC-INC, 12,7 m, 2540 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating tapes, cables & plates, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating tape or cable wraps a tube, a valve or a vessel that has no mantle. Power per length and the maximum temperature are the specification. A tape overlapped on itself overheats. It needs a controller. Plugged straight in, it does not hold a set point.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
