Description

Minisart® NML surfactant-free cellulose acetate (SFCA) standard syringe filters are suited to aqueous solutions in the pH range 4–8. The surfactant-free cellulose acetate membrane supports sterile filtration, clarification and sterile cell removal while limiting unwanted effects on sample constituents. An effective filtration area of 6,2 cm² ranks among the largest in premium syringe filters and promotes efficient flow together with a low hold-up volume. Bidirectional use is possible, and the colour-coded housing aids quick identification in busy laboratory workflows. The GUK version is individually packed and sterilised by gamma irradiation, making the units convenient for protocols that require ready-to-use sterile filtration devices. Typical applications include sterile filtration, clarification and sterile cell removal in research and quality-control settings. Supplied in a pack of 50 pieces from manufacturer Sartorius, this Minisart® NML SFCA format offers practical single-use handling for aqueous liquid filtration where dependable particle and microbial retention is required.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about MinisartNML 0.2m, 28mm FM g-ster, 50pc

What is this article?

MinisartNML 0.2m, 28mm FM g-ster, 50pc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
