Description

Nalgene™ LDPE wash bottles with colour coding are narrow-mouth laboratory wash bottles built for clear reagent identification through colour-coded closures and an integrated draw-tube holder. The bottle body is low-density polyethylene (LDPE) with a nominal volume of 0,5 l (16 oz), a natural-coloured cylindrical form and dispensing through the closure. A red polypropylene screw closure (28 mm) completes the assembly and holds the draw tube for directed delivery of aqueous rinses and compatible laboratory liquids. These bottles are not graduated and are not autoclavable, making them suitable for routine bench rinsing, glassware preparation and multi-bottle stations where red coding distinguishes contents at a glance. Supply is as a case of 24 units (packs of 6), with a height of about 8,8 in. for convenient handling. Colour-coded wash bottles from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics support organised laboratory workflows wherever LDPE compatibility and reliable through-cap dispensing are needed.

Questions about Nalgene™ Color-Coded LDPE Wash Bottles

What is this article?

Nalgene™ Color-Coded LDPE Wash Bottles is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Wash bottles, inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A wash bottle is a squeeze bottle with a bent delivery tube, used to rinse a precipitate or a electrode with a small directed stream. The liquid inside is usually water or a solvent, and the bottle has to tolerate that liquid.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
