Description

Nalgene™ beakers with handle (HDPE) are graduated laboratory beakers moulded from high-density polyethylene for secure handling of acids, bases and hot solutions. Extra-strong sidewalls and an integral handle support safe pouring and transport of larger liquid volumes on the bench. Nominal capacity is 3000 ml (3 l / 96 oz), with a moulded dual scale graduated from 200 ml to 3000 ml in 100 ml steps for practical measuring and transfer. The natural translucent colour allows approximate level observation during preparation. These reusable beakers are not autoclavable and are not intended as single-use disposables. From manufacturer Thermo Scientific, they suit general wet-chemistry, media work and routine liquid handling where a robust HDPE handled beaker is preferred. The handled design combines measuring convenience with mechanical strength for everyday laboratory use. Supplied as 6 pieces per case (1 piece per pack), this 3000 ml format is a dependable choice for graduated HDPE beakers with handles.

Questions about Nalgene™ Graduated HDPE Plastic Beakers with Handles

What is this article?

Nalgene™ Graduated HDPE Plastic Beakers with Handles is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
