Description
Nalgene™ Griffin PFA beaker, low form, is a robust laboratory beaker made from perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA) with a nominal volume of 600 mL (0,6 l). Built for continuous laboratory service, it remains usable from −270 °C to +250 °C and is autoclavable for repeated sterilisation. The natural translucent vessel follows the classic Griffin low-form profile without graduations, giving a stable footprint on benches and hotplates while keeping the inner surface smooth and easy to clean. Excellent chemical inertness and non-stick behaviour make the beaker suitable for aggressive reagents, high-purity samples and workflows where metal contamination must be avoided. Supplied from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics as a reusable alternative to disposable plasticware, each unit is intended for long-term laboratory use rather than single-use disposal. Typical applications include sample preparation, reagent handling and thermal processing in analytical, pharmaceutical and materials laboratories that require high chemical resistance together with mechanical toughness. The low-form geometry further supports safe handling of larger liquid volumes under routine laboratory conditions.

Questions about Nalgene™ Griffin Low-Form PFA Plastic Beakers
What is this article?
Nalgene™ Griffin Low-Form PFA Plastic Beakers is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.
A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.
A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
Which category should I open next?
