Description
Nalgene™ durable HDPE bottles with closure are heavy-duty wide-mouth laboratory bottles designed for storage and transport of liquids or dry chemicals under demanding use. Each bottle offers a nominal capacity of 1 l (32 oz) in a round, thick-walled high-density polyethylene body with a natural translucent colour for contents visibility. The wide opening features a 39 mm inner neck diameter and is fitted with an assembled white polypropylene screw closure, size 53B, without liner. Overall dimensions are approximately 93 mm diameter and 226 mm height, supporting stable handling and efficient shelf packing. These bottles from manufacturer Thermo Scientific are produced to ISO 13485:2003 quality requirements; bottles and closures meet USP Class VI and US 21 CFR 177.1520 criteria for food-contact applications. The lab-pack configuration supplies six bottles per pack and twenty-four per carton, suited to bulk laboratory stocking. Heavy-wall construction provides extra durability for intensive laboratory and industrial handling while remaining lightweight compared with glass alternatives.

Questions about Nalgene™ HDPE Heavy-Duty Bottles with Closure: Lab Pack
What is this article?
Nalgene™ HDPE Heavy-Duty Bottles with Closure: Lab Pack is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Plastic bottles (narrow & wide mouth), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.
A plastic bottle is polyethylene, polypropylene or a fluoropolymer, narrow-mouth for pouring or wide-mouth for powders. It is the choice when the bottle must not shatter, and it is the wrong choice for solvents that swell the plastic.
A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
