Description

Nalgene™ Economy wash bottles made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) are flexible laboratory squeeze bottles for dispensing solvents, rinse solutions and aqueous reagents. Each bottle has a nominal volume of 0,125 l (4 oz), a narrow cylindrical form and a 24 mm polypropylene screw closure with integrated dip tube and holder. The secure fit between riser tube and cap helps prevent loosening when the bottle is squeezed, supporting controlled delivery through the closure. Dispensing occurs via the closure, and the bottles are not graduated. Height is given as 5,8 in. These economy wash bottles from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics are supplied with closure included and are suited to general laboratory rinsing, sample preparation and bench-side solvent application where lightweight, squeezable LDPE construction is preferred. Pack configuration is six units per pack and forty-eight per carton; the listed unit is 1 pc. Material choice of LDPE provides chemical resistance typical of polyethylene wash bottles used in teaching, routine analysis and industrial quality-control environments. The narrow-mouth cylindrical design aids directed dispensing while remaining easy to handle and store on crowded benches.

Questions about Nalgene™ LDPE Economy Wash Bottles

What is this article?

Nalgene™ LDPE Economy Wash Bottles is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Wash bottles, inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A wash bottle is a squeeze bottle with a bent delivery tube, used to rinse a precipitate or a electrode with a small directed stream. The liquid inside is usually water or a solvent, and the bottle has to tolerate that liquid.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
