Description

Nalgene™ HDPE closures with liner for serum vials deliver a leakproof seal on continuous-thread PETG serum vials without requiring separate rubber stoppers. These non-sterile white screw-thread closures are manufactured from HDPE and incorporate a three-layer coextruded liner consisting of an LDPE core sandwiched between two solid HDPE outer layers. With an outer diameter of 22,1 mm and a closure size of 20-415, they are intended for use with non-sterile Nalgene PETG serum vials that feature a continuous thread. The lined design ensures reliable, leak-resistant sealing for laboratory storage, sample handling and packaging workflows. Supplied in a case of 2000 pieces from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics, the closures support high-throughput environments while meeting ISO 13485:2003 certification requirements. Their HDPE body and multi-layer liner combination provide chemical compatibility and mechanical integrity suited to serum-vial applications where stopper-free sealing is preferred. The white colour and standardised 20-415 thread facilitate straightforward identification and assembly on matching PETG vials.

Questions about Nalgene™ Lined HDPE Serum Vial Closure for Continuous-Thread Vials:

What is this article?

Nalgene™ Lined HDPE Serum Vial Closure for Continuous-Thread Vials: is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
