Description

Nalgene™ PPCO narrow-mouth bottles with closure are compact autoclavable laboratory bottles for applications that demand excellent chemical resistance and autoclaving with or without contents. Each natural translucent Boston round bottle is made from polypropylene copolymer (PPCO) and provides a nominal capacity of 4 ml (0,125 oz), a narrow mouth and an 8 mm metric inner neck diameter. A 13 mm polypropylene screw closure without liner is supplied; the natural finish supports straightforward laboratory and freezer-compatible use. Bottles and closures meet 21CFR177.1520 requirements for food and beverage use and USP Class VI, and are manufactured according to ISO 13485:2016 quality requirements. Approximate external dimensions of about 1,6 in height and 0,62 in width suit small aliquots, reference samples and space-efficient bench storage. These non-graduated, reusable bottles from manufacturer Thermo Scientific (Nalgene™) are packed 12 per pack and 72 per case, giving laboratories a practical supply of autoclavable PPCO narrow-mouth containers for routine handling and storage tasks.

What is this article?

Nalgene™ Narrow-Mouth PPCO Bottles with Closure: Autoclavable is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Plastic bottles (narrow & wide mouth), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A plastic bottle is polyethylene, polypropylene or a fluoropolymer, narrow-mouth for pouring or wide-mouth for powders. It is the choice when the bottle must not shatter, and it is the wrong choice for solvents that swell the plastic.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
