Description

Nalgene™ PPCO centrifuge bottles with sealing closure are designed for centrifuging larger volumes of biological and chemical samples at low to medium speeds. Each bottle offers a nominal capacity of 250 ml (0,25 l) and is moulded from translucent polypropylene copolymer (PPCO) in a round form. The included polypropylene screw-cap set incorporates a silicone gasket for a reliable seal; the bottles are autoclavable and rated to a maximum force of 27.500 × g. Approximate external dimensions are 5,23 in height and 2,40 in width. Bottles are not graduated and do not allow dispensing through the closure. Packaged four per pack within a case of 36, these centrifuge bottles from Thermo Scientific – Laboratory Plastics support high-throughput sample processing in research and industrial laboratories. The combination of PPCO body, sealing closure and autoclave compatibility makes them suitable for repeated use with aqueous and many chemical matrices under controlled RCF conditions.

Questions about Nalgene™ PPCO Centrifuge Bottles with Sealing Closure

What is this article?

Nalgene™ PPCO Centrifuge Bottles with Sealing Closure is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
