Description

PVDF syringe filter with 0,22 µm pore size and 13 mm diameter is a hydrophilic membrane filter for laboratory sample preparation. The membrane is hydrophilic polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with low protein binding, suited to filtration of non-aggressive aqueous and lightly organic solutions. It supports HPLC sample preparation as well as sterilisation and purification of biological solutions. The yellow polypropylene (PP) housing is designed for FLL/MLS connections, giving a practical fit on standard laboratory syringes. Supplied non-sterile in a pack of 100 pieces from manufacturer Labbox, these filters are intended for routine clarification and clean-up steps where a fine 0,22 µm cut-off and minimal protein loss are required. Compact 13 mm format suits small sample volumes while the hydrophilic PVDF surface wets readily without pre-treatment. Net weight of the pack is 0,200 kg. Use for aqueous buffers, biological media and mild organic mixtures in analytical and life-science workflows.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about Nonsterile PVDF Syringe Filters, Pore: 0,22µm, Ø13mm, 100 pcs

What is this article?

Nonsterile PVDF Syringe Filters, Pore: 0,22µm, Ø13mm, 100 pcs is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
