NucleoBond Xtra EF Buffer Set I is a dedicated buffer set for the isolation of endotoxin-free low-copy plasmids, BACs, PACs and P1 constructs. It is intended only for use with NucleoBond Xtra EF kits and supplies sufficient reagents for 12 Xtra Maxi preps or 18 Xtra Midi preps. The set comprises Buffer RES-EF, Buffer LYS-EF, Buffer NEU-EF and RNase A, covering key resuspension, lysis and neutralization steps in endotoxin-free plasmid workflows. From manufacturer Macherey-Nagel, this buffer complement extends existing NucleoBond Xtra EF systems when additional buffer capacity is required for low-copy or large-construct isolations. Molecular biology laboratories working with bacterial artificial chromosomes, P1-derived artificial chromosomes or other low-copy vectors can replenish critical buffers without purchasing a full column kit. Supplied as one package, the buffer set supports flexible scaling of midi and maxi preparations within chromatography-related nucleic-acid purification protocols and helps maintain consistent reagent availability across repeated endotoxin-free isolation runs.
