Description

pH-Fix 4,0-7,0 are indicator sticks designed for visual pH measurement in the near-neutral window from pH 4,0 to 7,0. Graduated colour steps at 4,0-4,4-4,7-5,0-5,3-5,5-5,8-6,1-6,5-7,0 enable stepwise comparison without a meter, supporting quick checks of buffers, culture media, rinse waters and other aqueous laboratory samples. Each stick is 5,5 × 85 mm and is packed as 100 test sticks per pack, giving a practical stock unit for routine bench work, teaching laboratories and in-process control. The stick format is immersed briefly and read against the matching colour scale, offering a simple, instrument-free approach when only a defined pH band is of interest. Supplied from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel, these pH-Fix sticks address applications that need finer resolution around mildly acidic to neutral values. Deliveries from August 2021 are without CE marking. The product is intended as a classical indicator-stick tool for everyday laboratory pH screening within the stated measuring range.

Questions about pH-Fix indicator sticks pH 4.0 - 7.0/100

What is this article?

pH-Fix indicator sticks pH 4.0 - 7.0/100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in Test strips & indicator papers, inside Test kits & water analysis, in Lab chemicals.

A test strip or indicator paper changes colour when it meets an ion, a pH or another analyte. It is a fast, coarse reading. The scale printed on the pack is the only scale that strip may be read against. A wet finger contaminates a pH paper before the sample does.

A test kit turns a chemical question into a colour, a titre or a reading on a strip, so the operator does not have to assemble the method from separate reagents. A cuvette test is a ready optical cell. A strip is a field reading. The range printed on the kit is the range where the answer means something. Outside it, the kit is silent or wrong. The substances inside are on PubChem. Water measurement traces to NIST.
