Description

PH60Z-VS Smart pH meter set is a portable professional instrument for reliable pH measurement of viscous liquid samples. It unites the PH60-Z meter with the LabSen 855 ATC/pH electrode, whose pressurised long-life reference system and ceramic diaphragm minimise clogging in high-viscosity media. The meter provides a range of −2,00 to 16,00 pH at 0,01 resolution and ±0,01 pH accuracy; the electrode spans 0–14 pH and 0 to 130 °C with an HA hemispherical membrane, gel KCl electrolyte under pressure and silver-ion barrier. Automatic temperature compensation covers 0 to 50 °C. The IP67-rated housing is waterproof, dustproof and floatable. Intelligent capabilities comprise automatic 1- to 3-point calibration, Heads-Up display and Bluetooth connection to the ZenTest Mobile App for cloud data management including timestamps, geo-location, notes and photos; the device also works without a smartphone. ORP measurement extends to ±1000 mV. The full set from manufacturer APERA Instruments includes calibration solutions (pH 4,00; 7,00; 10,01, 50 ml each), three vials, 3M KCl storage solution, CalBox, four AAA batteries and carrying case. Meter size is 40×40×178 mm (133 g); with case 255×210×50 mm (700 g). Operating time reaches up to 1000 hours.

Questions about PH60-Z Smart Pocket pH Tester (powered by ZenTest Mobile App)

What is this article?

PH60-Z Smart Pocket pH Tester (powered by ZenTest Mobile App) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
