Description

PH700-SA benchtop pH meter is designed for fast, reliable laboratory pH measurements using the LabSen 843 pH/temperature electrode, optimised for strongly alkaline solutions (pH > 12) and/or high-salt solutions (> 0,5 % or 5000 ppm) as well as general aqueous samples. The Swiss LabSen 843 electrode minimises alkaline measurement error under these demanding conditions. The meter offers automatic 1- to 3-point calibration with self-diagnosis and electrode condition display, Max/Min reading mode for rapid trend analysis, and storage of 50 data sets. pH range is 0,00 to 14,00 (resolution 0,1/0,01; accuracy ±0,01 ±1 digit) with BNC electrode connection and automatic or manual temperature compensation 0 to 100 °C. mV range is ±1999 mV; temperature 0 to 100 °C. IP54 splash- and dust-protected housing. The electrode features lead-free glass shaft, HA membrane, silver-ion trap reference, ceramic junction, 30 kΩ NTC sensor and 3M KCl electrolyte; recommended use 0 to 130 °C; dimensions Ø12×120 mm with BNC/RCA cable. Supplied complete from manufacturer APERA Instruments with PH700 meter, LabSen 843-H electrode, electrode holder, pH 4,00 / 7,00 / 10,01 calibration solutions (50 ml each) and DC 9 V power supply. Meter dimensions 24 × 23,5 × 10,3 cm; weight 1 kg (1,8 kg with case).

Questions about PH700 Benchtop pH Meter incl. pH electrode

What is this article?

PH700 Benchtop pH Meter incl. pH electrode is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
