Description

Combined plastic pH electrode for general use with CAT probe is a robust laboratory sensor built on an epoxy plastic shaft for everyday pH measurement. It employs an Ag/AgCl reference system with a non-refillable electrolyte and a porous Teflon diaphragm, covering the full measuring range from pH 0 to 14. Maximum working temperature is 100 °C, and the body measures 120 × 12 mm for standard immersion in beakers and sample vessels. The electrode is supplied with a BNC connector and a 1 m cable, together with CAT temperature-probe connectivity: 10K/3,5 mm jack for METRIA instruments and 30K/CINCH for Mettler-Toledo, FISHER and VWR devices. From manufacturer Labbox under the METRIA product type, this combined electrode is intended for general laboratory applications where durable plastic construction and integrated temperature compensation are required. Net weight is 0,160 kg. The non-refillable design keeps maintenance simple while the epoxy shaft withstands routine handling in teaching, QC and research environments.

What is this article?

Plastic body dual pH electrode with ATC probe, general use, 10K/BNC/3.5mm JACK is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
