Description
Portable precision balance, Series HCB M, 600 g is a compact laboratory balance intended for everyday precision weighing in research, quality-control and educational settings. Functional modes include weighing, percentage calculation, piece counting, underfloor weighing and weight totalisation, enabling efficient handling of varied sample types. USB and RS-232 interfaces support connection to laboratory PCs and data-capture workflows. An innovative stackable design allows several balances to be stored neatly when space is limited. ShockProtect™ overload protection tolerates loads up to 200 kg without damaging the weighing mechanism, complemented by automatic internal calibration. An internal rechargeable battery with automatic power-off favours portable operation and reduced energy use, while a chain and Kensington™ lock option helps secure the instrument. A removable draft shield is included with this model. External dimensions measure 170 × 245 × 80 mm and net weight is 2,000 kg. The balance from manufacturer Labbox is supplied with a handbook, operates at 200–240 V / 50–60 Hz and is covered by a three-year warranty. An optional manufacturer calibration certificate can be ordered together with the unit.

Questions about Portable precision balance HCB M series, 600 g, EU plug
What is this article?
Portable precision balance HCB M series, 600 g, EU plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
