Description
The ADAM Luna series precision balance with external calibration offers a capacity of 420 g and a readability of 0,001 g for routine and advanced laboratory weighing. Application modes include standard weighing, percentage calculation, parts counting, animal and dynamic weighing, and density determination. A large backlit LCD shows results in g, mg, ct, GN, oz, ozt, dwt or a user-defined unit. USB and RS-232 interfaces support data transfer, and GLP printouts are available when an optional printer is used. The instrument combines an ABS housing with a large stainless steel weighing pan; models with a 120 mm pan include a plastic draft-shield chamber. External dimensions are 224 × 374 × 219 mm for the 120 mm pan version and 224 × 374 × 95 mm for the other models. Net weight is 4,600 kg. Power supply is 200–240 V / 50–60 Hz. The balance is supplied with a handbook and carries a five-year warranty; an optional manufacturer calibration certificate (BAAC-CAL-001) may be ordered with the unit from Labbox. Delivery time is typically 10 to 20 days.

Questions about Precision balance, ADAM, Luna series, external cal., 420 g x 0,001 g, EU plug
What is this article?
Precision balance, ADAM, Luna series, external cal., 420 g x 0,001 g, EU plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
