Description

PTFE-insulated heating tape MIL-HT-CN is a flexible laboratory and process heating tape with a length of 1,9 m and a rated power of 67 W at 230 V AC. The tape measures 8 × 4 mm in cross-section and features a nickel-plated copper outer protective braid together with splash-water protection, making it suitable for demanding laboratory and industrial environments. A minimum bending radius greater than 15 mm allows installation around vessels, pipes and apparatus, while the maximum heating conductor temperature of 260 °C supports a wide range of temperature-control tasks. Supplied ready-assembled with a 1,5 m connection lead without plug, the unit is immediately ready for integration into existing setups. Manufactured by ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, this MIL-HT-CN heating tape is intended for container and apparatus heating applications. Special lengths and alternative power ratings are available on request. Net weight is 0,3 kg.

What is this article?

PTFE insulated heating tape MIL-HT-CN, 1,9 m, 67 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating tapes, cables & plates, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating tape or cable wraps a tube, a valve or a vessel that has no mantle. Power per length and the maximum temperature are the specification. A tape overlapped on itself overheats. It needs a controller. Plugged straight in, it does not hold a set point.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
