Description

Qualitative filter paper, folded, general purpose, medium-fast filtering is a pre-pleated cellulose laboratory filter designed for everyday separations. With a 200 mm diameter, basis weight of 65 g/m², thickness of 170 µm and pore size of 7–10 µm, it provides medium-fast flow for general qualitative work. Maximum ash content is 0,10 %. One hundred folded filters are supplied in a box, so discs can be placed directly into funnels without additional preparation. This grade from manufacturer Labbox is described as equivalent to Whatman 93 and supports clarification, sample preparation and standard wet-chemistry procedures that need dependable particle retention at a practical filtration speed. The parchment-style cellulose sheet is intended for broad laboratory use under typical bench conditions. Net weight of the pack is 0,262 kg. Use this folded 200 mm qualitative medium-fast paper when a larger pre-pleated disc is preferred for teaching laboratories, quality control or routine analytical filtration.

What is this article?

Qualitative folded filter paper for general use, medium flow rate, Ø200 mm, 100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Filter paper, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

Filter paper is a cellulose sheet of a stated retention and speed. Qualitative paper clarifies. Quantitative, ashless paper is for a precipitate that will be weighed or ashed, because the paper itself leaves almost no ash. The diameter has to match the funnel.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
