Description

pH electrode for chemicals, laboratory and QC use with 1 m cable and BNC connector is a PEI-body pH sensor with a single ceramic junction, intended for chemical samples, field work and quality-control measurements. The double Ag/AgCl reference is filled with 3,5 M KCl electrolyte and the junction flow rate is 15–20 µL/h. Spherical sensing tips are specified at 7,5 mm and 9,5 mm diameter, supporting robust contact with a wide range of liquid samples. Measuring range extends from pH 0 to 13, with recommended operating temperatures of 0 to 70 °C and a maximum pressure of 0,1 bar. A coaxial 1 m cable with BNC termination provides direct connection to standard laboratory meters; related variants also exist with BNC + Pin or DIN connectors. This electrode from manufacturer Hanna Instruments has no integrated temperature sensor or amplifier. Supplied as one piece, it offers a durable PEI housing suited to routine chemical, laboratory and QC pH determinations where mechanical resilience and a double-junction reference are advantageous. Net weight is 0,3 kg.

Questions about Refillable PEI Body pH Electrode with BNC Connector

What is this article?

Refillable PEI Body pH Electrode with BNC Connector is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
