Description

The rotarus® MKF 60-16-2-4 is a 2-channel pump head fitted with 4 rollers and intended for pump tubing with a wall thickness of 1,6 mm. Constructed from durable PPS plastic, this head is suited to continuous conveying of liquids and to precise dosing of defined target volumes in laboratory and process settings. Stable tubing cassettes hold the hose runs firmly, and a built-in tubing lock provides additional security during operation. A fixed distance between the rollers and the tubing bed allows the use of pump tubing without stoppers within a multi-channel pump head, supporting consistent channel geometry. The two-channel layout is useful where parallel fluid pathways are required without expanding to higher channel counts. Adaptation to Hirschmann rotarus® drive units requires one of the two available MKF-60 adapter sets for correct mechanical coupling. Supplied as one piece, the MKF 60-16-2-4 forms part of the modular rotarus® pump platform used for flexible liquid handling in research, analytical, and production-related laboratory environments.

This article is part of Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about ROTARUS MKF 60-16-2-4, 2 CHANNEL PUMP HEAD, WT 1.6 MM

What is this article?

ROTARUS MKF 60-16-2-4, 2 CHANNEL PUMP HEAD, WT 1.6 MM is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hirschmann for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
