Description

ROTILABO® bellows connector for ground joints is a flexible laboratory coupling designed for ground joint size 19/26. The bellows accommodate an angular band of up to 120°, allowing glass apparatus to be linked even when alignment is not perfectly straight. This flexibility reduces mechanical stress on fragile glassware during assembly of distillation, extraction or other multi-component setups. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer ROTH SELECTION, the connector weighs 0,040 kg and integrates into standard ground-joint systems used throughout chemical laboratories. The ROTILABO® design supports reliable connections where slight misalignment would otherwise risk leakage or breakage at the joint. Suitable for research and teaching laboratories that rely on modular glassware with NS 19/26 joints, it simplifies apparatus configuration while helping maintain the integrity of the joint interface during routine experimental work and frequent reassembly of glass trains.

Questions about Bellows ROTILABO®, 19/26

What is this article?

Bellows ROTILABO®, 19/26 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
