ROTIPHORESE® 10x TAE Buffer light is a 10× concentrated buffer concentrate with a reduced EDTA concentration, supplied as 1 l in glass. The concentrate has a density of 1,018 g/cm³ and a boiling point above 100 °C, and the filled pack weighs 1,727 kg. It is intended for horizontal electrophoresis in agarose and for the preparation of agarose gels, where a TAE working solution is prepared from the 10× stock. The reduced EDTA level characterises this light formulation of the 10× TAE buffer concentrate.
