Description

Sartopure® GF Plus Maxicaps® 0,65 µm 20'' is an adsorptive depth filter for removal of colloids, lipids, protein aggregates (host cell protein) and particles from biopharmaceutical fluids. Two layers of pleated glass fleece form the adsorptive media, delivering a strong combination of total throughput and turbidity reduction in process streams. The capsule is used to protect membrane filters, chromatography columns and ultrafiltration systems in pharmaceutical and biotechnological production. In the 20'' Maxicaps® format it supports clarification and prefiltration duties where particle and colloid load must be reduced before sensitive downstream steps. This new-generation depth filter from manufacturer Sartorius is supplied as a pack of 2 pc(s) with a net weight of 1,400 kg. The defined 0,65 µm rating and dual-layer glass-fleece construction help maintain process robustness while shielding critical equipment from premature fouling. Non-sterile as supplied, the filter integrates into established biopharmaceutical workflows for adsorptive depth filtration ahead of sterile filtration, chromatography or ultrafiltration. The design focuses on contaminant retention with high throughput for pilot and production-scale applications.

Questions about Sartopure GF+ Maxicaps 0.65m 20'' 1 pc

What is this article?

Sartopure GF+ Maxicaps 0.65m 20'' 1 pc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Filter cartridges & capsules, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A cartridge or a capsule is a pleated filter for a larger volume than a syringe filter, often in a housing or as a disposable capsule. Pore size, membrane and the connection, hose barb or sanitary, are the specification. It is the filter of a transfer line, not of a single injection.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
