Description

Schlenk line with 5 two-way PTFE valves is a complete vacuum and inert-gas manifold for air-sensitive chemistry and Schlenk techniques. It combines five two-way PTFE valves with fine thread and three thick-walled KF DN 16 connections, giving flexible routing between vacuum, inert gas and reaction ports. The assembly is supplied complete with a blanking cap, a thick-walled KF DN 16 to olive 12 mm transition piece and the corresponding flange material, so it can be commissioned with minimal extra hardware. Fabricated from borosilicate glass 3.3, the line offers the chemical resistance and thermal stability expected in synthetic laboratories. Optional colour-coded valve handles (black, green, red or blue) can be specified to separate functions visually; without a colour preference, black and green grips are supplied as standard. Net weight is 1,400 kg for the single-piece unit. Produced by Rettberg under the Rettberg® mark in Germany, this Schlenk line supports organometallic work, solvent transfers under inert atmosphere and multi-station vacuum operations where clear valve identification and robust KF interfaces improve day-to-day reliability.

Questions about Schlenkline with 5x 2-way PTFE valves with fine thread,

What is this article?

Schlenkline with 5x 2-way PTFE valves with fine thread, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Rettberg for laboratory use. It sits in Ground-joint glassware (other), inside Distillation & extraction glassware, in Labware.

This is ground-joint glassware that is not a head, a condenser or a Soxhlet: receivers, blank joints, odd adapters. A ground joint is named by the wide end and the length, such as 29/32. Mismatched joints do not seal, even with grease.

Distillation separates liquids by boiling point. A condenser turns the vapour back into liquid: Liebig, coil and cold-finger shapes differ in how much cooling surface they offer. A still head and a column sit between the flask and the condenser. A Soxhlet extractor washes a solid again and again with the same solvent. Ground joints have a standard size, and the joint, not the flask, is what has to match. The pieces are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
