Description

Shaking attachment SA 1028 is a retrofit shaking unit for an existing DT 1028 F bath, completing the SONOSHAKE setup for flexible sample preparation. It is suited to analytical workflows in environmental analysis, food testing and medical diagnostics. The bath provides a base area of 500 mm × 300 mm and a tank depth of only 65 mm, so laboratory flasks can be sonicated efficiently. Samples may be treated for a defined period or in continuous operation, and rapid degassing is available via the DEGAS function. Four shaking frequencies deliver gentle to vigorous horizontal movement with a stroke of up to 20 mm. Shaking and ultrasound can run together or separately, allowing pre-homogenisation by defined shaking and final homogenisation by ultrasound in a shorter overall time. Supplied as a 1 pkg unit from manufacturer Bandelin, the attachment has a net weight of 5,73 kg, a gross weight of 8,41 kg and a packaging volume of 0,006 m³, with packaging dimensions of 0,1 m height, 0,3 m width and 0,2 m depth.

What is this article?

Shaking attachment SA 1028 — Compatibility: Retrofit for is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bandelin for laboratory use. It sits in Shakers, rockers & rotators, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A shaker, rocker or rotator moves a rack, a plate or a bottle so the contents keep moving without a stirrer bar. Orbital, reciprocating and rocking motions are different. The platform, the load and the speed range are the specification.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
