Description

Sealable cuvette type 117-QS is a precision spectrophotometer cell made from high-performance quartz glass for measurements across the 200 nm to 2500 nm wavelength range. A 10 mm path length and a fill volume of 1400 µl are paired with an open screw cap and silicone seal, supporting secure sample containment during routine and advanced spectroscopic work. These precision cuvettes are thermally bonded rather than glued, giving them strong resistance to temperature extremes and aggressive chemicals while helping to prevent unintended leakage. Selected high-performance quartz glasses provide excellent transmission greater than 82 % for exact measurement results, and bevelled edges allow safe, comfortable handling that also minimises chipping. Manufactured entirely in Germany by manufacturer Hellma to demanding optical standards, the cuvettes suit all common spectrophotometers and can be cleaned and reused over long service lives. Path-length accuracy and parallelism ensure continuously reproducible data in quantitative UV/Vis and near-infrared analyses on the laboratory bench.

Questions about sealable cells, 117

What is this article?

sealable cells, 117 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
