Description

SICCO intermediate shelf is a stainless-steel desiccator plate designed to expand usable storage levels inside laboratory drying cabinets. The shelf measures 515 mm × 0,8 mm × 495 mm (width × height × depth) and is perforated with 36 holes of Ø 20 mm to support free air and moisture exchange. Two aluminium guide rails are supplied so the plate can be positioned securely on the side tracks. It fits all versions of Maxi desiccators, Big Star desiccators and desiccator wall units. The stainless-steel intermediate shelf is rated for use up to 150 °C, making it suitable for warm drying and conditioned storage workflows. Complete with guide rails, the assembly weighs approximately 1,800 g (net weight 1,63 kg) and is offered as a single piece from manufacturer Bohlender. This accessory is intended for laboratories that need durable, corrosion-resistant intermediate levels in SICCO desiccator systems without altering the cabinet footprint.

What is this article?

SICCO Shelf, B 495 mm x H 13 mm x T 515 mm stainless steel, including two rails is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory furniture & workbenches, inside Safety cabinets & hazardous storage, in Lab safety equipment.

A laboratory bench and its furniture are the work surface, the under-bench cupboard and the frame. Chemical resistance of the top, the load and whether the bench is fixed or mobile are the choices. A bench is not a fume cupboard and it is not a rated safety cabinet.

A safety cabinet keeps a dangerous liquid in a box that is meant to resist fire or to contain a spill for a stated time. The cabinet is chosen by what is stored: flammables, corrosives, or both, in the volume that will actually be in the room. A spill tray is the smaller version of the same idea. A fume cupboard is different: it is airflow that carries vapour away from the face. The rule for equipment worn or used to protect people is the PPE Regulation. Workplace practice is discussed by EU-OSHA on dangerous substances. Chemical classes are on ECHA CLP.
