Description
Silicate-insulated heating tape MIL-HT-H provides a flexible high-temperature heating solution for laboratory vessels, piping and process equipment. This 1,0 m length delivers a rated power of 350 W at 230 V AC and utilises heat-resistant quartz glass yarn silicate insulation capable of a maximum heating-conductor temperature of 900 °C. The tape cross-section is 30 x 5 mm with a minimum bending radius greater than 15 mm, enabling close contact around curved surfaces. It is supplied not moisture-protected and without protective-conductor braid, factory-finished with a 1,0 m connection cable without plug for immediate installation. Offered by manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, the MIL-HT-H series is intended for container heating, heat tracing and similar thermal applications that demand elevated surface temperatures and high power density. Special lengths and other power ratings can be supplied on request. Net and gross weight are each 0,2 kg, supporting convenient handling and positioning in research, pilot-plant or production settings where controlled heating is required.

What is this article?
Silikat insulated heating tape MIL-HT-H, 1,0 m, 350 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating tapes, cables & plates, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating tape or cable wraps a tube, a valve or a vessel that has no mantle. Power per length and the maximum temperature are the specification. A tape overlapped on itself overheats. It needs a controller. Plugged straight in, it does not hold a set point.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
