Description
SnowPack 50 dry ice maker produces a −79 °C dry ice tablet of about 50 g with dimensions Ø × H 50 × 30 mm in a very short time, without complex equipment or a power supply. It enables economical cooling to very low temperatures whenever required. Dry ice is easy to handle and remains odour- and taste-neutral. The SnowPack unit from manufacturer Bürkle screws onto any European CO2 cylinder fitted with a riser tube and without a pressure reducer (thread W 21,80 × 1/14'' to DIN 477-1 No. 6), a connection already common in many laboratories and plants; cylinders can otherwise be rented locally at low cost. Output depends on ambient temperature and cylinder pressure. The device is an ideal coolant source for sample transport and is frequently used in hospitals, universities, schools, institutes, laboratories, the chemical industry and materials-testing facilities. Typical applications include lowering temperature in cooling baths or cold traps, pre-cooling tissue samples, securing or embedding biological materials during transport, freezing blood and tissue specimens, and experimental work in chemistry, physics and materials technology. Simply attach to the CO2 cylinder, open the valve so the gas crystallises to dry ice, release the clamping band and remove the finished tablet.

Questions about SnowPack 50 dry ice maker, tablet Ø x h 50x30 mm
What is this article?
SnowPack 50 dry ice maker, tablet Ø x h 50x30 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory refrigerators & freezers, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A laboratory refrigerator or freezer holds reagents and samples at a stated temperature, often with an alarm and a spark-free interior when solvent is stored. A domestic fridge has neither the alarm nor, usually, the spark-free claim. The set point and the volume are the specification.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
