When the device is used above 100 °C, additional temperature protection of the syringe pump is required. Setpoint temperature is shown on the control unit; a temperature sensor in the tempering jacket measures and displays the temperature at the syringe. The mantle is secured and adapted to the syringe with cable ties. In a 50 ml syringe a setpoint of 100 °C is reached in approximately 15 minutes.
