Description

Stereo Microscope L100 with trinocular head is a Greenough stereo microscope intended for industrial inspection, electronics, gemmology and quality-control applications. The 45° inclined head rotates through 360°, with interpupillary distance adjustable from 54 mm to 75 mm and bilateral ±5 diopter correction. WF10X/22 mm wide-field eyepieces combine with a continuous zoom from 0,67X to 4,5X (ratio 6,7:1) to give standard magnification of 6,7X to 45X, expandable with optional accessories to 270X. The 105 mm working distance allows convenient observation of voluminous specimens. Rack-and-pinion focusing with bilateral controls ensures precise adjustment. The base includes a transparent disc with specimen clips and dual adjustable LED illumination for incident and transmitted light with intensity regulation. Supplied as 1 pc from manufacturer Labbox, the unit has a gross weight of 9,312 kg. A two-year warranty supports reliable use in demanding stereo microscopy and inspection environments.

Questions about Stereomicroscope L100, trinocular

What is this article?

Stereomicroscope L100, trinocular is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
