If the edges run outwards, repeat the measurement with the next highest value. The surface tension is reached when the line has just stopped for 2 seconds or 4 seconds (depending on the ink specification).
Shelf life 1 year unopened, 6 months after opening. Individual components of the test inks evaporate to varying degrees. Close bottles and pens tightly after use.
