Description

Waterproof multiparameter handheld meter HI98194 with HI7698194 probe and 4 m cable is a professional field instrument for simultaneous water-quality measurement of up to 12 key parameters. It covers pH, redox potential (ORP), conductivity with derived values such as total dissolved solids, resistivity and salinity in selectable units, dissolved oxygen and temperature. Measured data are transferred digitally from the multisensor probe to the handheld unit, where they can be displayed in text or graphic form and logged. The probe accepts up to three colour-coded, field-replaceable threaded sensors with automatic sensor recognition, so unused ports remain inactive. Quick one-point calibration with HI9828-25 or full standard calibration is supported, together with automatic temperature compensation and automatic barometric pressure compensation for dissolved oxygen via the built-in barometer. The meter housing meets IP67 and the probe IP68; connection is via a waterproof Quick Connect DIN interface. GLP calibration records and logging of up to 45 000 values on demand or at set intervals complete the system from manufacturer Hanna Instruments, supplied as a battery-powered handheld unit for reliable on-site use in the field or production.

Questions about Waterproof multiparameter portable meter with HI7698194 probe, 4 m cable

What is this article?

Waterproof multiparameter portable meter with HI7698194 probe, 4 m cable is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A dissolved-oxygen meter reads oxygen in a liquid, optically or with a Clark cell. A multiparameter meter adds pH, conductivity or both on one instrument. The sensor cap or the membrane is the consumable. A reading in air and a reading in water are different calibrations.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
