Description

Block, 4 × 50 ml, 600 min⁻¹, Ø × depth (29,6 × 80 mm) is an interchangeable metal block accessory designed for controlled heating, cooling and shaking workflows in the laboratory. Each position accepts a 50 ml tube, with well geometry specified as 29,6 mm diameter by 80 mm depth, supporting reliable thermal contact during incubation. Rated for shaking up to 600 min⁻¹, the block integrates into thermoshaker platforms that deliver excellent mixing and temperature control for reproducible results across gene synthesis and purification, protein and gene denaturation, enzymatic reactions and bacterial growth. The broader instrument family covers shaking frequencies from 200 to 1500 min⁻¹, heating to 100 °C, cooling to ambient minus 15 °C, heating rates of 5,5 °C/min and cooling rates of 5 °C/min (0,5 °C/min below ambient), with temperature accuracy and uniformity of ±0,5 °C and a maximum shaking amplitude of 3 mm. Supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 1,000 kg from manufacturer Labbox, this DLAB-type block expands tube compatibility on compatible metal-block thermostat systems without including other block formats.

What is this article?

Adapter block, 4x50mL, 600rpm, Øxdepth (29.6x80 mm) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Heating & cooling (other), inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

This shelf holds heating and cooling equipment that is not a furnace, a mantle, a bath, an oven or an incubator. The question is still the range, the stability and what the heat actually touches.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
