AHN myLab® MC-02 high-speed centrifuge is a compact microcentrifuge for blood centrifugation and other clinical applications. It uses a closed rotor with 12 places for 1,5 mL and 2,0 mL microcentrifuge tubes and reaches speeds up to 15000 min-1 with a maximum RCF of 15596 x g. Adapters for 0,2 mL and 0,5 mL vessels are included to broaden vessel options. The closed rotor design improves airflow through low friction and helps protect temperature-sensitive samples by limiting heat generation. Safety features include an automatic brake that prevents lid opening during operation, imbalance detection and a screw-lock rotor to reduce contamination risk. A brushless DC motor from manufacturer AHN Biotechnologie supports maintenance-free, durable operation for longer runs. The small footprint optimises bench space and the unit is suitable for use in fume hoods and cold rooms. A user-friendly interface, extremely low noise level and large digital display aid daily handling. Speed is adjustable from 500 to 15000 U/min with ± 100 U/min accuracy; run time covers 1 to 99 minutes plus continuous mode. Acceleration is 60 ± 2 seconds and braking 50 ± 2 seconds. Dimensions are 190 x 120 x 270 mm, weight about 2,45 kg with rotor, and power consumption 55 W.
