Description

Ashing furnace LV9/11/C550 is intended for laboratory ashing work up to 1050 °C and reaches a maximum temperature of 1100 °C. Typical uses include loss-on-ignition determination and ashing of food and plastics ahead of substance analysis. Its fresh-air and exhaust system exchanges the air more than 6 times per minute to maintain adequate oxygen throughout the process. Pre-heating of incoming air as it passes the furnace heating promotes good temperature uniformity of ±10 °C to DIN 17052-1 in the defined empty work area from 550 °C. Two-sided heating employs ceramic plates with integral heating elements that are safeguarded and simple to replace. A dual-shell housing of textured stainless steel with extra fan cooling keeps outer surfaces cooler, while insulation materials are free of categorization under EC Regulation No. 1272/2008 (CLP). Supplied by manufacturer Nabertherm, this LV variant has a flap door usable as a work platform, a C550 touch controller, solid-state relays for quiet running, and NTLog Basic for recording process data on a USB flash drive. The furnace is suitable for many standardized ashing procedures according to ISO, ASTM, EN and DIN. Delivered as 1 pc.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Ashing Furnace LV9/11/C550 Tmax1100 with flap door

What is this article?

Ashing Furnace LV9/11/C550 Tmax1100 with flap door is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
