Description
Auxiliary lens 0,5x, L100 is a modular optical accessory for LYNX stereo microscopes, used to shift the effective magnification range during industrial inspection, electronics assembly checks, gemmology and routine quality control. On the L100 setup the 0,5x factor broadens the field of view relative to the base zoom, helping operators examine larger or more three-dimensional samples without leaving the Greenough optical path. Compatible stands are available as binocular or trinocular units with a 45° inclined head that rotates 360°, interpupillary distance from 54 to 75 mm and ±5 diopter correction on both sides. WF10X/22 mm eyepieces and stepless zoom from 0,67X to 4,5X (ratio 6,7:1) provide 6,7X–45X standard magnification, extendable with optional accessories up to 270X. The 105 mm working distance supports comfortable handling of bulky objects; focusing uses rack-and-pinion drives with bilateral knobs, while the base offers a transparent disc with specimen clips and dual intensity-controlled LED lighting for incident and transmitted light. Supplied as one piece from manufacturer Labbox, this lens complements the LYNX L100 accessory range covered by the two-year system warranty.

Questions about Auxiliary lens 0,5x, L100
What is this article?
Auxiliary lens 0,5x, L100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.
An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
