Description

The temperature-controlled beaker 1000 ml, tall form is a double-walled laboratory vessel made with a Clean Safe laboratory glass outer jacket for accurate and reliable tempering of laboratory media. Temperature control is achieved via an external thermostat connected through two GL thread ports fused onto the outer jacket; hole caps, hose olives and matching tubing establish the link easily. The beaker is designed for use with magnetic stirrers to ensure good mixing of the medium being tempered. Approximate dimensions include an inner height of 170 mm, internal diameter of 90 mm, overall external height of 180 mm and jacket outer diameter of 115 mm, with GL thread connections oriented tangentially toward the rear. Suitable for biology and chemistry applications, the vessel is easy to clean. This 1 l tall-form beaker in borosilicate glass 3.3 from manufacturer Landgraf HLL can be supplied with a product lot or batch number and quality certificate on request when ordering.

Questions about Beaker, tempered, 1000 ml, h. F.

What is this article?

Beaker, tempered, 1000 ml, h. F. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Landgraf HLL for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
