Description

Temperature-controlled beaker, 250 ml, low form is a jacketed laboratory vessel for accurate tempering of media with an external thermostat. Two GL thread connections fused to the outer jacket allow straightforward connection via perforated caps, hose olives and suitable tubing. The low-form geometry provides a wider working surface while remaining compatible with magnetic stirrers for thorough mixing of the tempered sample. The outer jacket is made of Clean Safe laboratory glass from manufacturer Landgraf HLL. Approximate internal dimensions are 66 mm diameter and 80 mm height. The vessel is easy to clean and is intended for routine use in biology and chemistry. On request the product can be supplied with a lot or batch number and quality certificate when this is stated on the order. Nominal capacity is 250 ml in the compact low-form design.

Questions about Beaker tempered 250 ml, n. F.

What is this article?

Beaker tempered 250 ml, n. F. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Landgraf HLL for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
