Description
The binocular Nexius stereo zoom microscope combines a column stand with a continuous zoom optical system for versatile stereo observation. The viewing head is inclined at 45° and fully rotatable through 360°, fitted with 10× wide-field eyepieces that provide a field number of 22. Working distance is 110 mm. The zoom objective delivers magnification from 6,7× to 45× and remains parafocal; optional accessories extend the range to roughly 3,3×–90×. Integrated 3 W LED illumination supplies both incident and transmitted light for reflected and transparent samples. Stand options in the Nexius family include universal, double-arm, column or rack designs; this variant uses the column stand for stable vertical positioning. Supplied by manufacturer Windaus complete with operating manual, power supply and dust cover, the instrument is suited to laboratory stereo work, assembly inspection and educational demonstration where simultaneous incident and transmitted LED lighting and smooth zoom control are advantageous.

Questions about Binokulares Nexius Stereo-Zoom-Mikroskop
What is this article?
Binokulares Nexius Stereo-Zoom-Mikroskop is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Windaus for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.
An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
