Description

BOLA thermo beakers, 250 ml PTFE, with PTFE-carbon compound on the outer bottom are thick-walled laboratory beakers for heated chemical work. The body is PTFE with a reinforced upper rim and pouring spout. A heat-resistant PTFE-carbon compound on the outer underside of the base allows use on hotplates up to a maximum of +270 °C, while the inner base remains pure PTFE for universal chemical resistance. Nominal volume is 250 ml, overall height 94 mm, outer diameter 75 mm and inner diameter 67 mm. Net weight is 0,1673 kg. The combination of a pure PTFE product-contact surface and a conductive outer base compound supports controlled heating of aggressive media without compromising chemical inertness inside the vessel. These BOLA thermo beakers from manufacturer Bohlender are supplied as single pieces for laboratory heating, digestion and process steps that require fluoropolymer beakers compatible with hotplate use.

Questions about BOLA Thermo Beakers, 250 ml PTFE, base made of heat resistant PTFE-carbon

What is this article?

BOLA Thermo Beakers, 250 ml PTFE, base made of heat resistant PTFE-carbon is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
