Description

b.safe Ex-protection hoses are antistatic laboratory tubing for fluid transfer applications that require electrostatic dissipation. They are manufactured from conductive PTFE-EX, a specialised compound of PTFE and finest high-purity carbon dust (less than 2,5%), resulting in a black hose that supports charge control while retaining the chemical resistance associated with PTFE. This size provides an inner diameter of 8,0 mm, an outer diameter of 10,0 mm and a wall thickness of 1,0 mm. The bend radius is 100 mm and the burst pressure is 35 bar, allowing stable routing in larger laboratory solvent and transfer lines. Available as a 3 m pack from manufacturer Bohlender, the hose is appropriate for sample transfer, solvent supply and other fluid-handling tasks that benefit from antistatic performance. With a net weight of 0,066 kg it remains practical to handle during installation. The conductive PTFE-EX construction combines static dissipation with chemical compatibility for laboratory setups needing a larger-diameter antistatic hose.

What is this article?

b.safe Antistatic Explosion-Proof Tubing, Ø 8 mm x Ø 10 mm t= 1 mm Colour: black is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.

A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.

Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
