Description

b.safe olive with NPT 1/8" connection thread is a 90° elbow hose fitting for connecting elastic tubing to b.safe Waste Caps. It is suitable for flexible hoses such as Viton®, Tygon® or silicone and creates a defined interface between the tubing and the waste-cap thread. The milky white polypropylene (PP) construction is supplied as a single piece and is sized for larger hose bores: inner diameters from 9,5 to 10,5 mm fit the olive, the through-bore is 7,0 mm and the length is 32 mm. The elbow geometry redirects the line at a right angle close to the cap, which helps organise thicker elastic tubing in laboratory waste setups. Net weight is 0,003 kg. This connector from manufacturer Bohlender belongs to the b.safe olive range for waste-cap hose attachment and is selected when an NPT 1/8" port, a 9,5–10,5 mm inner-diameter range and PP milky white material are required. Matching thread, diameter band and material to the installed waste cap and hose keeps connections consistent across analytical and general laboratory waste collection points without altering the specified dimensions or polymer grade.

This article is part of Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, in Waste disposal.

What is this article?

b.safe Hose Connectors, NPT 1/8'', 9,5 - 10,5 mm PP milky white, connecting is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.

A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.

Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
