Description
b.safe olives with UNF 1/4'' connection thread are straight hose connectors for attaching elastic tubing to b.safe Waste Caps. Each olive is intended for tubing with an inner diameter of 6,0–8,0 mm and provides a defined capillary-side interface via the UNF 1/4'' thread used throughout the b.safe system. The straight design measures 30 mm in length and incorporates a 3,6 mm through-bore, supporting free flow when flexible lines such as Viton®, Tygon® or silicone tubing are pushed onto the olive. Made from milky-white polypropylene, the connector is suited to routine laboratory waste and solvent transfer setups where a simple, chemically resistant PP olive is preferred. Supplied as one piece from manufacturer Bohlender, it is a compact accessory for completing tubing runs into or out of b.safe waste-cap assemblies. Net weight is 0,0015 kg. Laboratories standardising on b.safe UNF 1/4'' capillary ports can use this olive to couple larger-bore elastic hoses without additional adapters, keeping waste-collection manifolds neat and mechanically consistent across HPLC and general liquid-handling benches.

Questions about b.safe Hose Connectors, UNF 1/4'', 6,0 - 8,0 mm PP milky white, connecting
What is this article?
b.safe Hose Connectors, UNF 1/4'', 6,0 - 8,0 mm PP milky white, connecting is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.
A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.
Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
