Description
b.safe Control Waste Caps B83 are PE screw caps for B83 canister threads, combining electronic and optical fill-level monitoring in one laboratory waste-cap assembly. A freely rotatable PTFE insert carries a permanently mounted cable of approximately 0,5 m for connection to a b.safe Display electronic level monitor, while a sight glass and indicator pin provide additional visual fill-level control. PFA fittings accept capillaries with outer diameters of 1,6 mm, 2,2 mm and 3,2 mm via UNF 1/4" threads; unused ports are closed with the supplied blind fittings. One hose olive on an NPT 1/8" thread suits tubing with an inner diameter of 5,5–8,0 mm, and a GL14 port is provided for screwing in a b.safe exhaust filter (filter not included). The scope of supply comprises four capillary connections with four green fittings (Ø 1,6 mm), four violet fittings (Ø 2,2 mm), four yellow fittings (Ø 3,2 mm), three milky-white blind fittings and one stepped olive. This configuration from manufacturer Bohlender supports safe solvent-waste collection and capillary routing in HPLC and analytical workflows. Pack size is 1 piece; net weight is 0,322 kg.

Questions about b.safe Control Waste Caps B83, 4x UNF1/4'', 1x GL14, 1x NPT1/8'' Cap B83 made of
What is this article?
b.safe Control Waste Caps B83, 4x UNF1/4'', 1x GL14, 1x NPT1/8'' Cap B83 made of is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in HPLC fittings, tubing & inline filters, inside HPLC columns & accessories, in Chromatography equipment.
HPLC fittings and tubing are numbered by bore. A wide bore after the column broadens the peaks. Finger-tight and wrench fittings, and stainless against PEEK, are different pressure ratings. An inline filter is the last screen before the column, and it clogs on purpose so the column does not.
An HPLC column is a tube packed, or coated, with a stationary phase. The sample is carried through it by a liquid, and the compounds leave at different times. The phase, the particle size, the length and the internal diameter decide the separation. A guard column is a short sacrificial piece in front of the analytical column. Fittings and tubing have a bore that either preserves the peak or smears it. Compound names follow IUPAC. Data are on PubChem. Method grades often cite the European Pharmacopoeia or USP.
